2 civic and business leaders join as first leadership fund comes to close

CHICAGO—Following the successful completion of its first $10 million leadership fund, The Chicago Public Education Fund elected two new directors to its board today:

Deborah A. Bricker is the founder of Bricker & Associates, Inc., an operations improvement consulting firm with offices in Chicago and Boston. Bricker & Associates (now Keane Consulting Group) specializes in assisting Fortune 500 organizations with maximizing their strategic use of business processes, information technology, and organization design to increase revenue, reduce operating costs, and dramatically improve profits. She is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Goodman Theatre. She also serves on the boards of Hubbard Street Dance Company, The Chicago Public Library Foundation and The University of Chicago Hospitals & Health System.

Jana R. Schreuder is an Executive Vice President at The Northern Trust Company, Chicago. She is Group Manager of Public Entities and Institutions. Prior to assuming her current responsibilities, Jana was President and Chief Executive Officer of Northern Trust Retirement Consulting. She is a former director of the Chicago Children's Museum and a past member of the Chicago Advisory Board Member of Teach For America.

“Our board of directors is an extraordinarily active and engaged one,” said Janet Knupp, president of The Fund. “The group carefully vets every investment decision we make, and meets every management team we put money behind,” Knupp said, “so we’re thrilled that Deborah and Janet will add their considerable expertise and energy to our board.”
