CHICAGO—The Chicago Public Education Fund joins our area colleagues in welcoming Independent Sector, a national leadership forum for the nonprofit and philanthropic community, to Chicago for the 2004 Independent Sector annual conference.

Just five days after Election Day, the conference is your opportunity to to join colleagues from around the nation to shape the nonprofit sector and its impact on some of the most pressing issues facing our communities. Program highlights include:

  • Election implications with author Arianna Huffington, NPR's Juan Williams, and Democratic and Republican strategists;
  • CEO Summit featuring SEC Chairman William Donaldson;
  • A conversation with Ford Foundation President Susan Berresford; and
  • An interactive Town Hall Meeting on what the sector must do to rebuild the public’s trust.
